After losing in the cup the week before to Chelsea CPFC A were looking to get back to winning ways when they took on Coventry City here at Thomas Becket.

A good start saw the home team dominate the possession and create some early chances but it was not until the 25th minute that Palace got the breakthrough with a stunning strike from captain Hubert Witkowski, the home side piled on the pressure and in the 36th minute Mason frost made it two with a superb solo goal from the edge of the box.

The visitors replied early in the second half with a penalty but in the 59th minute the captain Witkowski made the game safe with another super solo goal. Coach Mcgoldrick commented, "we needed that win after a frustrating few weeks but again we were superb with the difference being we were more clinical when our chances came along, I am also delighted to announce that Hubert Witkowski will start a five day trial with Championship bound Sheffield Utd in the half term holidays.  Everyone here at Thomas Becket and the Academy wish him all the best, he is a great lad and role model to all my players here and deserves it."
