We are incredibly excited to offer Thomas Becket VI Form students the opportunity to experience a residential retreat at Longtown Outdoor Learning Centre in Herefordshire.
We recognise the need to provide our students with the opportunity to regroup and recharge before the onslaught of external exams. The impressive location, rural environment and the tranquillity of the countryside offers our students the perfect opportunity to switch off and take a break.
At Thomas Becket VI Form, we have always maintained that being one of our students is about so much more than just academia; it is about ensuring all of them leave having had the opportunity to be involved in making fond and exciting memories. We also see this as a perfect opportunity to recognise and reward the contributions they have made to the school community and celebrate their achievements.
“The residential to Longtown offered me a completely new experience where I learnt new skills, pushed myself out of my comfort zone and is something I will always remember.” Year 13 student
The vast range of facilities at Longtown will ensure every student uses and refines attributes such as resilience, problem-solving, teamwork and interpersonal skills. Our students will build their own bespoke programme of activities which could include caving, rock climbing and canoeing to name but a few.
